Trek India’s Himalayan Adventure Camp 2010 is designed to give boys and girls between the ages of 8 to 15 years,an opportunity to develop skill and confidence while enjoying a variety of  adventure summer camp activities like Trekking, Rock climbing, Rappelling, River crossing, Zumaring, Obstacle course, Lectures on various subjects,Tent pitching, Jungle cooking, Snow activities,  team building games, Cultural programme and camp fire in the evening.
Each  and every activity is conducted by trained professionals of Trek India’s team. We make sure every activity is enjoyed by the participants to a maximum extent .
The camp is located 6 Kms. short of the internationally famous  Manali town and is approximately 10 minutes drive.

THE SCHEDULE

Day1: in the lap of mother nature – Report at base camp Jagatsukh. Allotment of tents, relax and free afternoon. Distribution of camp book, Introduction and acclimatization walk to the nature in surrounding hills in the post lunch session. Lecture on Himalaya in the evening. Campfire after dinner.

Day2: Rock to the top - Morning exercise followed by the breakfast. Walk to the rock climbing and rappelling site. Learn the basics of rock craft. Back to the camp by lunch time, relax and practice knots used for rock craft and river crossing. In house team building games ,Lecture on mountain manners and nature conservation followed by  Adventure Movie . Camp fire after dinner.

Day3:  Wild Wet and Wacky –  Morning exercise. Wander into the wild, learn the techniques of river crossing, wiggle your toes in the stream pond ,. Tackle the obstacle course and learn to pitch the tents in post lunch session.

Day4: jungle home – Pack up your rucksack, let’s go to the jungle. Pitch your tents and cook your lunch in the wild.. look for native plants, life and creatures. Collect them for your camp book. Nature exploration in the surroundings and practice Zumaring with our team . Campfire after dinner. Overnight in the jungle camp.

Day5: Tones of fun  - Trek back to the base camp. Show your hidden skills, team building games, group discussions and competitions . Adventure movie and camp fire.

Day6: Let’s go snow - Early Breakfast; leave for Rohtang Pass (3989mts) by jeep, to have fun on the snow and test the physical fitness at height. Back to the camp in the evening.Discussion on the whole programme and the feedback. Distribution of certificates at campfire.

Day7: memories of a lifetime -  Take home the good memories and experiences, check out after breakfast.

When can you join : The first group will report at base camp, Jagatsukh on 15th of April and last on 15th June, 2010.

How to Participate: Kindly contact us for the application form and forward alongwith the demand draft of the fee, favouring Trek India payable at Manali/ Ahmedabad/Indore.

How to reach: The base camp, Jagatsukh is located 6 Kms. short of the internationally famous  Manali, on the left bank and is  approximately 10 minutes drive from Manali.

Manali is about 560 Kms. From Delhi. There are overnight buses from Delhi. Semi deluxe, deluxe, airconditioned and Volvo buses are available. Bhuntar which is 50 Kms. short of Manali is connected by air.

Participants please note:

The Programme schedule can be changed due to the unforeseen circumstances. In case of any illness during the expedition, the expences for medical treatment, travel and porter etc. to be borne by the concerned individual. Alcohol  consumption is prohibited during the camp. Trek India can not be held responsible for any accident, illness or such unforeseen events during the expedition. Primary medical facilities will be available, wherever, possible. Participants will be presented certificates only on successful completion of the expedition. During the expedition the decision of the Camp Director will be final and binding.

This is an environment friendly camp, therefore, please do not throw any litter while trekking.

Cancellation and Refund:

If cancelled 15 days before date of reporting 50% will be refunded. Less than 15 days  before date of reporting- no refund please.

You Should Bring The Following:

Rucksack, sleeping bags (if available) cotton shirts, cotton pants, woollen pullover, jacket, muffler, woollen cap, cotton and woollen socks, trekking shoes, gloves, light towel, chappals, light rain coat or plastic sheet, sunglasses ( other than blue colour ), torch with cells, water bottle, electoral powder, lunch box, petroleum jelly/ Vaseline/ cold cream, toiletries, needle with thread, ball point pen, a notebook, personal medical kit, soap etc.
