The trek leaves Darcha and climbs up to the 5090 Mts. high Shinkunla and then winds through the Zanskar valley to Padum. The landscapes changes dramatically and gives a visual feast.

The moderate slopes, number of streams, spectacular villages, narrow gorges and beautiful Monasteries makes the trip like no other . The kingdom of Zanskar is also famous for its hardy inhabitants.

From Padum one can drive to Leh or Shrinagar by jeeps/ coach.
